Thats the introduction over with, lets get started take a seat and make the most of sitting on your rear before you are in the thick of the workouts that will give you the ripped body you could only dream off.

Where Do I Start

Before starting your fitness program to get that ultimate ripped body ask yourself a question, do I really want a ripped body? You must be thinking what the heck is he on about. Well its simple, the journey to gaining that ultimate ripped body won’t be an easy one and for many it become a lonely one, just yourself and a kettlebell for comany. If you have answered yes then follow the advice and workouts within the various article on the site to get that body you have always dreamt off.

I suggest to anyone I meet that before you even consider starting a new fitness program make sure you consult your personal doctor and have them perform a full physical to ascertain whether your body is capable of coping with the stresses that a change in the amount of physical activity and diet can have. This is of greater importance if you have any underlying health conditions after your medical assessment with your doctor arrange to have regular follow ups to keep track of your progress and make sure your not pushing your body over the edge. If your physician gives the go ahead than start to make plans to get the body you have always dreamt off.

 How Ripped Am I

Before you take a single step into a gymnasium, or pick up a set of dumbbells you will need to assess the current physical condition. The assessment will need to look at a number o areas including your cardiovascular capability and strength. It will allow you to set benchmarks that will allow you to monitor your progress throughout the workout regime. Try to be as honest as possible when setting any benchmark.

A great way to determine your physical capability is to have a fitness professional or personal trainer carry out an physical assessment. This can cost money but some gyms and personal trainers offer an introductory offer or taster to the service they provide, which you may use to as an assessment. If you manage to get a personal trainer than ask them to keep a written record of your achievements, which you can use to build you benchmark.

Sometimes due to practicality and cost you will not be able to get an assessment from a qualified personal trainer, if this is the case then you can quite easily carry out a self assessment of your physical condition.

Assessing your Physical Capability

Depending on your present circumstance you may not have access to any gym equipment be that free weight equipment or machines. If you have no gym equipment I prefer to use bodyweight workouts to assess my current physical condition. There are countless bodyweight exercise you could do to set benchmarks for your cardio capacity, endurance and strength.

Cardio exercises can include running, using a bike. A positive for running is its cheap, high impact so can lead to building stronger bones and muscles. In fact, a 65 kilogram or 10 stone person can use up to 150 calories by running at 5.2 mph for 15 minutes.

Strength workouts will need to cover the different muscle groups within the body.  These will include arms including Biceps and Triceps, forearms, legs including thigh and calf, Back, Shoulders, abs. Workouts could include press-ups, bodyweight squats, pull ups, abdominal crunches.

Once you have selected the workouts that will make up your assessment. Create an assessment plan that will span 5 days. Day 1 – start with you cardio exercises, if you have chosen to run a short distance than record the time it takes you to complete the distance. Day 2-5 select the bodyweight workouts you prefer, alternate between different muscle groups so if you do pull-ups on a day then don’t do any press-ups on the next day, keep a record of have may reps you can complete before exhaustion. These statistics will allow you to map your benchmark. You will carry out the same physical assessment monthly to chart your progress. After you have set benchmark figure you can move on with your plan to get that ripped body.

What do I mean by Ripped

What do we mean by the word ripped or cut. And is my interpretation different from what you perceive a ripped body to be. Before you can pick workouts that will make up your training program to get ripped, you will need to have an idea of what type of ripped body you want, since your workout program will affect the final result. How ripped do you want to look?, do you want to have a bulky ripped body like a wrestler or be more slender like a sprinter, or like a lot of people out there want to emulate an celebrity in a recent movie. Celebrities have the time and money to hire famous celebrity personal trainers to get them that photogenic ripped body. Once you have decided on what sort of a ripped body you would like, you will then be able to select the workouts and diet needed to get ripped.

Although the results can vary, training to get ripped to whatever degree you want will involve strength exercises, body fat loss and a balance diet.

Does Diet help get me Ripped

Your diet whilst working out will make or break your journey to getting a ripped body. A poor diet will not give you enough energy to workout affectively, it will not allow you to burn calories affectively and will not allow you to build the results you want. It sounds simple but so many people get it wrong, please don’t join them. The best diet to get ripped will save you weeks of hard effort and ultimate heartache. New diets can be particularly hard to get right due to allergies, availability of certain foods, and sticking to a strict dietary regime. Will you decide to have a natural food based diet to get ripped or will use make use of bodybuilding supplements to get that shredded look.

First take a look at your current diet making a note of what you eat, how often and at what hour in the day. You must keep a record for a week. You might surprise yourself and find that you are closer to the required diet than you initially thought. When creating a diet the most important thing will be to comfortable with your new Diet since you will need to stick to it. The best diet to get ripped should be balanced, allowing you to achieve your final target without affecting your general health adversely.
